A new war in Europe: Germany is going to attack Poland
Today, Sulla wrote an article in which he announces that he declares war to Poland . The main reason is that Germany doesn’t want to be Sweden’s puppet anymore. Sulla sais that he has the support of many states and that he doesn’t want to reveal those states’ names now. These secrets kept by Germany, together with the secrets kept by Pakistan make us think that between those two countries have secretly allied. It is almost sure that Poland will fall under German domination because USA will not interfere.

From a General’s Perspective
We have seen recently quite a few newer players that are curious as to how the US/Canadian war came about and how it played out. Here’s a personal account, which doesnt represent anyone or anything else that I may be associated with. I am leaving out name’s of almost everyone, since I can’t remember everyone all the time. I surely do not nor will not forget those that I have both faced and sided with on the battlefield, but unfortunately my memory isnt what it once was. This was previously classified information in my eyes, and some of it remains that way. The parts you can’t read have been covered in black Sharpie.
Pre-Game
I awoke to a rather rude noise this morning. It was the third week of March, and for some reason I couldnt get back to sleep. Suddenly, the red light above the basement door started to light up. My heart jumped a little, in anticipation and fear at the same time. It meant that my secure SAT-line was ringing. I walked through the living room in my Quality 4 house and over to the basement door.
The house itself was nice, almost too nice. It was purchased with a lot of blood sweat and tears in mind. I could remember all the hard work and time I had spent creating structure where there was none, amassing resources and budgets, lobbying for support in every community I could find. Back in early January, I was charged with a large duty: I was expected to create organized Chaos. It was expected that the end result would strike fear into even the bravest men. I wasnt so sure of that, as great things have to begin somewhere, but usually the seeds of anything are much less noticeable than the end result. I knew that I would certainly not be around for the end result. I had been contemplating retirement from my post for some time, as my heart yearned for different things, beyond that which I already had control. Part of me didnt even want to answer this phone call, yet it was my duty. As any good soldier would, I began the descent into the secured basement fortress which was build specifically for Departmental purposes.
As I turned my COM-system on, there it read like a spotlight into a dark Russian night. One line, simply stated: We are going to war. Prepare your troops for an attack on Canada. My attention span was short, as my mind started to turn. Why would we attack Canada? We had briefly talked about it, as possible targets. What had happened that would create such a rash reaction? While I knew that I probably wouldnt have a complete answer for a day or two, I began thinking strategy. We were as unprepared as ever for a complete invasion, we would have to divide and conquer. First we had to procure hospitals, as all our local infirmaries were simply gift stores masquerading as hospitals. I contacted a good friend of mine, Joseph Salute, who ran the largest hospital producer in the US at the time (which still holds true). We had been talking a couple of weeks ago about stock that he was having a hard time getting rid of, so I reserved two. One was readily available and on the market. I asked him to remove it and contacted the current Mayor of St Paul as well as the President and requested funds. Within a day we had a hospital in St Paul which became our base of operations for the assault. I contacted our commanders for our mobile action teams, and proceeded to mobilize them and get them moved. We also knew that we needed more members for those teams, as they would be our main assault force. We readily recruited anyone who would join. They didnt know for what they were being mobilized, just location.
The message was simple: You’re being mobilized. Please move to St Paul and report to your commander.
All in all, I wondered what our troops thought of the situation. Eventually, we couldnt keep quiet that we were about to increase the population in a single city four hundred percent. Certainly someone would notice. We discusses the possibility, and soon our counts were high enough that we formed four divisions. Three were mobilized to St Paul and one to Albany. We decided it would better disguise our actions, and would concentrate our attacks on singling out their capital, Ontario, for final assault. We knew that once we took Winnipeg, our initial target, and Quebec that it would cripple their ability to react.
Pure speed, plain and simple. Attack in the night, take no prisoners, divide and conquer. Once we took those three provinces our units would then move in two directions. Albany to the East, One out of St Paul (the largest one) to the North, and Two to the West to conquer their remaining territories. Quick and simple. Initial agreements were made on one to two weeks to conquer the whole country.
Then the problems started to arise.
First Quarter
The problems with our war plans arose almost instantaneously. Our original date of proposal was pushed almost two weeks due to the National elections (originally scheduled March 28th, pushed to April 7th). It actually helped as membership into the Mobile Squads rose 30 percent during that time (rough estimate).
We awoke the morning of April 7th as any other morning. We had all been training diligently, awaiting this day. Finally, it arrived.
Surprisingly enough, there was another war declared that day as well. Pakistan had declared on China. Maybe that will take some of the attention off of us, I thought. Then I looked through some Canadian media, which I had been paying attention to for the last few weeks, and I was wrong. One simple article had appeared:
Canadians: Please report to the National forums for matters of National Security.
They were onto us, apparently. They had all seen our announcement, and were doing what they could to draw forces together. No matter, I thought. We had operatives for several weeks moving into Canada and buying all their resources. At final count, they hadnt a single moving ticket, gift, or weapon on their market. They would pop one in their occasionally, but it certainly wasnt enough to win a war. They didnt have enough time to organize a full defense.
As I turned the page in my paper, looking at the military section, I found something that was new: Canada was showing a Protection Pact with Sweden. When had this happened? I immediately fired up my Comsat system and messaged our President. If we were going to war, it could not be with Sweden. We were not nearly big enough in size, nor was I ignorant enough to think we’d last two days.
President Saikiliah immediately got to work. It turns out China had received most of the support internationally to fend off the Pakistani threat, and with Sweden’s support of Canada both President Saikiliah and God Emperor Brando decided to cancel their war proposals. To me, it was more of a let down, until Nave called me and told me that the Protection Pact was a mis-print.
Let me tell you how this angered me. It was like someone stole my firstborne child. We discussed the possibility of re-proposal, and the President decided to push forward with the invasion. All in all, it took three days, which were the longest in my eLife. I saw the population of Canada double in those three days. As I sat at my post in the Watchtower looking at the Canadian border to Winnipeg I saw more and more soldiers digging in for the long fight. This was going to last some time. The delay had cost us three weeks of planning, money spent, and orders sent out. It made the last three weeks of preparation useless. I got up from my comfortable armchair in the Watchtower and three my coffee across the room. General Lilac had to restrain me, otherwise I probably would have damaged expensive comms equipment. Esoom and Benn ran upstairs to figure out what was going on. All in all, we ended up completely regrouping. All commanders moved troops to different locations, and we ran around in circles for more than a day.
Second Quarter
The International support that Canada received during the war was overwhelming. Sweden, France, Portugal, Spain, and quite a few independant fighters flew in. The war began on a Friday morning. We all went to war, and soon found how hard it was initially to take land. The Canadian forces were dug in well, and their defenses were held tight. American troops standing side by side with foreign troops of our own looked over the border, almost as if we were looking into a mirror. The blank stares on our faces told the story. We were carrying out orders we knew came from other places, fighting battles that couldnt be won.
Then something else happened: Our hospitals were due to heal our troops, something in which we had a clear advantage over the Canadians in. Each soldier was set to receive a checkup once per day. When we reported for our physicals after battle, and began receiving medication, we found that our nurses and doctors had been replaced my machines. We immediately began using those machines countless times. We had a mission after all, myself included. I needed to lead by example, and lead my troops into battle. When it was discovered that those robots had been cruel plants and were mistakenly installed in our new Q3 hospital in Honolulu, they were immediately removed and our nurses and doctors were sent home while they retrofitted the hospital the way it should have been. Immediately, I reported my findings to President Saikiliah and we took hold of 9 provinces. I was put on immediate suspension of duty while the investigation took place. I went home and relaxed, heading communication operations on inactive duty. At least I was allowed to do my part in that area. The more I sat in the basement of my house, communicating from a distance the more I realized that this was not what I wanted for myself. As desolate as the battlefield was, it was a crowded room compared to the empty basement I now occupied.
Third Quarter
Canada retook those 9 territories in a planned ceasefire, and opened our Northern States for attack. During that time another Ceasefire was called, and all fighting was stopped for well over a week. Things were awkward in the respect that verbally we all fought over who was more Patriotic than the other, and why yet none of us could prove it on the battlefield. Media flurry, and an estimated 100 articles in a 2 day span over the reemergence of the war occured when talks ceased. I was reinstated the minute our homes were open for attack, and remained until the final days of the war. I had had enough. I was tired, growing more weary by the moment. The troops I had fought with bravery and courage, as did the Canadian forces. They were all to be commended but I could no longer keep my eyes open in that Watchtower (which I had moved to Honolulu) and delegate, distribute, and coordinate. I was replaced by Benn Dover, and immediately went on R and R. Our efforts were ruined on several ends. The President started negotiations for peace while we bled carrying out the orders we were given. Many of us stayed on the front lines while we had no business in doing so. Dissention started amongst the troops who wanted to go back to their lives.
Fourth Quarter
Here, we draw attention to Nave’s last stand. In the last day of the war, the Canadian forces were focusing on Manitoba, the only territory we still had control over. They expressed no official desire for control over US Territory by force, and Nave was determined to use Manitoba as collateral. Nave personally went through soldier after Canadian soldier in those front lines, fighting well over 40 times on the final day. He spent more time ensuring Canada’s wellness overall was as poor as ours to make sure that treaty was signed. Eventually Faltnor gave in, and a treaty was signed. It was during this process that the talk of an Independant Hawaii came about. There was a large press conference in the open air and balmy weather by Korbin King, and his Lieutenant Platonic as to their disagreements with official US policies and actions during the war. There began the outcry for change.
Soldiers began moving home, disobeying orders, treasonous by definition, noble by suggestion. Once I resigned, I officially became just another citizen and could finally express my own opinions, although we must all remember that hindsight will always be 20/20. It is the job of any leader to make the correct decision as he or she sees it, and not the popular one. All in all, it’s a delicate balance as to how things are run. It must be for the people, but better defined as in their best interests. Canada managed to retake all their territories and stopped attacking US soil. The war officially ended with the signing of a treaty by both Presidents. With the signing of a treaty, I had several of my former mates over for celebration. It was a grand evening, with it ending as we raised our glasses to the end of one chapter, and the beginning of another. From there, we decided we were going to refocus our energies on domestic issues, and rebuilding what was lost. Store fronts had been destroyed, homes obliterated, there was work to be done.

All in all there was much that happened during the war efforts. Both sides of battle used foreign troops to supplement their numbers, along with extreme Patriotism to fight for what they believed. I was taught that an enlisted man never thinks, only does. Thats how our armed forces were made up, and while they certainly can improve you can’t say that seeds were sown to show success. Success stories came to the forefront of people that took opportunity and siezed the day. They were and still are the reason I see the US as having the potential to lead the world in many aspects. Personally, I can say that there are many Canadian men and women that I would stand shoulder to shoulder with on the battlefield because of the courage and bravery they showed during the conflict. In a short three days they managed to organize a counterdefense and worldwide relief efforts both on a domestic and International level. Certainly, our hats are off to them for that.
As for us, while there are still progressions to be made, we certainly have come along way in both the eyes of others and our own opinions as to who we really are. We are not a country that wishes to be involved in every crisis and situation in the world. We are a country that minds our own, takes care of our friends, and needs to allow the problems of others to be worked out by them until they become problems of our own. On an International scale, we certainly are not the first phone call to make when calling for help, but we have the capabilities to be that. We just need to tweak our systems to do so. Change is constant, and with those changes we need to adapt to them to be successful.

Personally, I can say that there are many Canadian men and women that I would stand shoulder to shoulder with on the battlefield because of the courage and bravery they showed during the conflict. In a short three days they managed to organize a counterdefense and worldwide relief efforts both on a domestic and International level. Certainly, our hats are off to them for that.
As for us, while there are still progressions to be made, we certainly have come along way in both the eyes of others and our own opinions as to who we really are. We are not a country that wishes to be involved in every crisis and situation in the world. We are a country that minds our own, takes care of our friends, and needs to allow the problems of others to be worked out by them until they become problems of our own. On an International scale, we certainly are not the first phone call to make when calling for help, but we have the capabilities to be that. We just need to tweak our systems to do so. Change is constant, and with those changes we need to adapt to them to be successful.

Changes regarding alliances in eRepublik
Taking into account the events that succeeded in the past few days, we are announcing the following changes:
- A Mutual Protection Pact (MPP) signed by both Presidents will become active after 3 days, and it will protect the 2 countries just for the wars declared after the 3 days have passed;
- A MPP that is canceled will still remain valid for a period of 3 days;
- Country Presidents will be able to cancel any Congress proposal before it is passed or rejected. Canceling a war proposal will give back 75% of the cost of the war. Rejecting a war proposal will give back 100%.
Don’t forget that the proposals become valid at 00:10 am (Erepublik time) at least 24 hours (and 10 minutes) after the Congress vote.
The changes in the code will be available in the next days.
For the moment there are four open war proposals, ready to be voted in Congress, in the following countries:

” As shocking and contradicting as this may sound, I have decided to resign my presidential candidacy. It has become apparent to me that there are better individuals out there for the job; here are the outlined reasons why:

Let’s face facts, Dish is a brilliant individual and extremely active — not only in eRepublik, but through external forums as well. Not many others in eRepublik can say they’ve written 112 articles. Dish is a much more experienced person in real life as well. Everything simply lines up to him being elected, and if I were to spend a lot of his time with arguments and discussions, then it would be counter-productive, as Dish is known to be a very productive person when given a fair amount of time. As he is the vice-president of the US, I fully endorse Dishmcds for President of the United States.
My activity
I hope there is no conclusion that since it is the summer, I will have little time given to eRepublik, because that is not true. However, I am a regular human being and I do want to allow myself freedom in the summer (in real life). If I were to be elected president, then I could easily distribute my time equally, but judging by how Dish has been doing this consistently, he can be GUARANTEED to be an active president. If anybody is upset with Nave’s final mandate, please realize that he is a very contributive president, but sometimes very soft-spoken in eRepublik as well.
June for me
I will not allow any individual to run cold in this presidential campaign. I am the third most powerful politician in the United States next only to Nave and Dish. If I feel as though I cannot get the job done, then I should have the right to withhold others from running too.
Come June 1st, I am going to become an official mercenary. As many of you know, congressman cannot move, and party presidents are automatically congressmen. Because of this, and the fact that I will not let others run this presidential election (see above), I am going to resign from both the presidential campaign and Democratic Party before the election day ends so that I don’t become a congressman. I will follow countries that enter war and contribute to their fights. By that time my strength will be nearing 6, one of the highest in eRepublik, and since I own a thriving Q4 weapons company, I have a great supply of Q4 weapons. This brings me to my next point…
Contributing to America overseas
When I leave America, I will have my Stimulated Organization, Harrisburg Bank account hold both of my companies, thus allowing me to legally maintain them and supply America with both Q1 moving tickets and Q4 weapons =). Alongside that, I will be keeping a large stock of moving tickets in my inventory to allow easy access into and out of America. I want it to be known that since I am not going be considered an American “resident” in foreign countries, that my citizenship here should be constantly valid until I live for more than 30 days in another country (see Platonics proposed US Constitution).
I realize that many of you are questioning “what will happen to our Chief of Staff”. Well, keep in mind that it doesn’t take citizenship to contribute to our country. I will continue being Chief of Staff when I become a mercenary and, if our next president feels as though I will be better suited being someone with more power (Vice-President?), or less (FIA Chairman?) then I will respect his decision and follow my orders. Consumer’s Digest, this newspaper, will too be held by Harrisburg Bank when I take leave.
Future of the Democratic Party
I may decide to write this in further detail in a press release , but here is what I want to see happen in the DeP:
-Party presidential advisory team: A group of individuals that talk to the party president on a regular basis. This group will be there to both facilitate things for the DeP party pres., but also keep them on the right track.
-Opening message: I want the party president to send each new party member a standard introductory message that helps them on their way and points them towards the welcome committee. This has worked in the past with individuals such as Caius, Jmatic, and Olu Dara (even though the latter two are no longer active).
-Welcome committee: This will branch off the ‘opening message’. As aforementioned, the opening message will point new members towards the veteran players (or at least those who are more established in the party). The welcome committee will give advice, suggestions, and answer the questions of new members.
-Vice Presidents: Currently, the VP of the DeP is Uncle Sam. That means he will become the president of the Dems come June 1st. I know Uncle Sam (most of you know him as Ryan) personally. He is a great person, EXTREMELY innovative, filled with new ideas, and will make for the perfect fill-in president of the Democratic Party. There is no doubt in my mind that he can lead the party to success. The new VP of the DeP will be Archibald. Even though he is somewhat new to the party, he is a highly intelligent individual, capable of fulfilling a leadership role. If Uncle Sam wants to, he can change who the VP is, but that is how I would want things to happen. Vice-presidents should be trusted individuals, trusted enough to substitute as president if something were to ever happen to presidents like myself or Uncle Sam.

Presidential Debate: Vice President of the United States speech
"Alright, so it’s Memorial Day weekend. Most of us are probably busy or out of town. Lest we not forget that it’s the 24th of May, and General Elections are a week away.
Earlier this week, I released a manifesto of our goals from the eRepublikans for Change party, available here. Those are my goals should I be elected President.
I would also like to announce that there are newly appointed people in charge of Operation Wellness, that was started by Nave after the war. Pearlswine will head the project assisted by Justineous (I know I always mess up your name, sorry). This should be full swing sometime in the next couple of days. They will be under my oversight, and I will ensure that this is being done. It will increase our productivity overall and our moral as well. Have faith that we are working here in Government buildings on Saturday for you, the citizen.
Now, onto the meat of the article: The Debate. I asked in the Manifesto article earlier this week for a debate. It would be nice to see one for this election. It is not necessary, as I can simply write my platforms and views out on a piece of ePaper” and hang copies of it on the wall of every bathroom stall in America, but I’d rather not. We have 7 days left until elections, I’ll wait 3 until I do so. America is a big place, lots of bathrooms to hit.

A rank of the most productive citizens in eUSA. There are lots of problems with this still — it does not take into account the company’s average presence factor or the region factor. Also, I have GM’s listed. One last thing — it counts only the highest skill level, not the active skill. So, if I have a 5.34 skill in food and a 1.2 skill in gifts, and I am working in gifts, it misreads my skill level as 5.34. I’ll fix all of that later.

Copenhagen – the fact is Denmark has been occupied by Sweden, but the country is not the same like the other countries who already occupied by others. Currently Grev Per has been elected again as mayor of Copenhagen. Grev Per is ex-president of Denmark before it occupied by Sweden. Before the election, he sent pm to 20 of his men to move to Copenhagen and win the election over there. And most of his men followed it and it leads him to victory.
There is not much who can be like them. Russia fled an organized, Australia seems prefer to start government in exile in Britain, Switzerland citizen fled to Bulgaria to start new life, and so on. But not with Denmark, they prove their self as a nation who didn’t leave their motherland, and keep fight with whatever they can.

Poland Government Non Existent
Warsaw – Poland who has 69 citizens has been reported that its Government is basically non-existent. That’s what president Party of UPR - 8DeadBoys said. His opponent party said to has many multi with 90% fake account. But of course this fact can’t be proven. UPR currently has 11 members and the biggest party that owned government has 14 members. UPR has a great chance to have presidential chair next election. 8DeadBoys offer more active government and want to have some MPPs with Pakistan, USA or France.
The opponent party – SPP who control the government now is lead by Alex-Rod, he got big political issue when many people refuses his plan to burn the money. He was reported has stolen Poland’s gold, selling 45 GOLD with rate 1Gold = 1 PLN. State treasury got 45 PLN for this gold, when market value was 6300 PLN. When we tried to see Alex-Rod account, it appears to be missing.

Argentina Suspicious of Brazil
Buenos Aires – Canada and Hungary reported to formerly join MA, it’s stated by their MPP with Spain. But Argentina seems to look after the MPP between their neighbors as well. Canada Army Organized
Iqualuit – Canada trying to learn from their previous war, today they did something that never done before, its form an army. Mediterranean Alliance more Solid

Poland Government Non Existent
Warsaw – Poland who has 69 citizens has been reported that its Government is basically non-existent. That’s what president Party of UPR - 8DeadBoys said. His opponent party said to has many multi with 90% fake account. But of course this fact can’t be proven. UPR currently has 11 members and the biggest party that owned government has 14 members. UPR has a great chance to have presidential chair next election. 8DeadBoys offer more active government and want to have some MPPs with Pakistan, USA or France.
The opponent party – SPP who control the government now is lead by Alex-Rod, he got big political issue when many people refuses his plan to burn the money. He was reported has stolen Poland’s gold, selling 45 GOLD with rate 1Gold = 1 PLN. State treasury got 45 PLN for this gold, when market value was 6300 PLN. When we tried to see Alex-Rod account, it appears to be missing.

Argentina Suspicious of Brazil
Buenos Aires – Canada and Hungary reported to formerly join MA, it’s stated by their MPP with Spain. But Argentina seems to look after the MPP between their neighbors as well. MPP that made by Brazil with Indonesia and Iran make them worry. At least that is what reported by Iskander Etchart in his report. Brazil and Argentina currently has really tight sum of soldiers. Brazil join MPP block with Asia and Pan American Alliance (PAA), while Argentina has MPP with Sweden and also PAA. It’s not clear yet if Brazil will be a threat for Argentina since both countries has MPP.
On the other hand the hospital company in Argentina seems to be bankrupt, and it was urged to government to make it runs since they need to prepare on worst situation. They point their finger to Joimzhando still because he took the Gold from treasury few months ago.

Jakarta – There has been a legitimate information said that there is a group who trying to form the union of World Socialist. One of socialist party from Brazil – USB has confirmed message in order to ask them to join the union. Below are the parties that interested to join the membership:

Canada Army Organized
Iqualuit – Canada trying to learn from their previous war, today they did something that never done before, its form an army. Currently Canada has formed 4 platoons where every platoon leads by Dascoo, Banach, Althalus and Adam Sutler. The list is still in progress and hopefully with more recruits there will be a 5th.

Mediterranean Alliance more Solid
ImageParis – Many people angry when the battle of Switzerland erupts, why? Because Spain as part of MA has officially stated that they won’t supply any troops. It’s happen because miscommunication when MA made discussion on this war previously. The representative of Spain in this discussion said that Spain has no problem with war, then when Italy and French declare it, Spain Government surprised since the representative of Spain didn’t consult about this with his Government.
Thanks to Pakistan that they willing to help French while Switzerland got help from Nordic Alliance. Many citizens got angry but they calm down now after they have the victory. Today it was reported that MA trying to organize. They are trying to form new voting system which does not favor large countries or small countries of the alliance, the purpose of this system is helping to resolve disputes over a lack of voice in the alliance, and such. On latest news, Canada and Hungary has joined the MA as well.
However, MA has rule to make MPP with Pakistan to be broken, it was said that you can not have MPP with a country that is not a member of MA. But French seem to have self confidence that although they don’t have MPP with Pakistan, their relation still good.

Lack of Houses in Portugal
Lisbon – Currently there is a lack of house in Portugal, one of the biggest house company over there – Habitat, has sold over 15 houses in 11 days! It was said that Porto got limited PTE now (local currency), but other citizen claimed that it’s not because of PTE, but it’s because the lack of labor.
However government will run a plan to control the market, with this policy the market expected can provide goods for all citizens. (Many sources)
Boredom in some countries
Jakarta – War is over and many citizen happy when the war has end. Will it last long, not sure yet since some citizen of USA has entered another state of life - Boredom.
This situation seems to happen on several countries. Many players jumping around from one country to country became mercenary, or became politician. Some starting to flame the media with their multi, and in other regions there is character assassination (an act to put a victim became permanently banned). Hackers on the other hand use this peace time to explore the whole system of eRepublik looking for new hole to be exploited.
eRepublik offer great social interaction, but for those who already bored with ideas, the game became bored since all they can do only two click on buttons.
So, war is avoidable for pushing excitement and rolls the economy. Which country going to be next?
The World in a Nutshell: An Interview with Platonic
Dish: Recently you penned and published the Declaration of Indendance of the Nation of Hawaii along with Korbin King. Korbin has since decided to leave us, so where does that leave Hawaii in the grand scheme of things, and how is your official role defined?
Platonic: Essentially, yes (meaning the declaration of indendance is still valid), But as was stated during the independence declaration, Hawaii is more or less pseudo-libertarian. Other than handling International affairs, I don’t really do much unless asked.
Dish: You campaigned to run in the last election, but were unable to run due to the lack of a write in ballot. Do you plan on campaigning for and running in the next election?
Platonic: No, I’m not going to be running for President again. As you fairly pointed out during the debate, I was mostly running because I was bored. I’ve got a whole bunch on my plate over the Summer, so don’t expect to hear much from me at all beyond whatever contracts people are asking me to write up.
Dish: Very good. Now we get a little more philosophical. How do you see yourself in Erepublik, and what do you see yourself becoming in our new World, and what do you think the biggest benefits and drawbacks to it are?
Platonic: Myself? I see myself as an orator, and whatever benefits that entails: diplomacy, legalese, etc. The legal background helps when people want to deal with the Contracts section, but mostly I just enjoy tossing my opinion about using big words and fancy phrases. As to what I think about eRepublik, well, you could fill a book with the various things I like and dislike about the game. I enjoy the idea of it – the idea of simulating the political stage for the layman, so that people who will in all honesty never have nearly the same responsibility in reality have a taste of what it’s like in a simulation. My main problem, which I have been
very vocal about as of late, is twofold:
1) that the game is advertised as a “simulation” whereas, in fact, it is mostly a naïve sanitation of reality, and

Dish: Recently, you have been very outspoken to the new moderation taking place in the forums of late. How would you improve Erepublik on the whole, and what would your solution be to your problem?
Platonic: Well, it’s fairly easy: apart from dealing with obvious spam and advertisement, don’t moderate. This is supposed to be a game that’s based around human interaction. Let us interact. Ask one or two players to act as janitors, cleaning up the obvious trash, but otherwise leave it alone. Unfortunately, the decision has been made to enforce morals, and as we have very clearly seen with the idea to have people pay for gold, once an idea is made, no amount of complaining by the player-base can change anything. Hmph. “Relying on player suggestions” indeed.
Dish: Ah, another philosophical one for ya. Where do you see yourself in 100 days here in Erepublik, and what are your goals? What do you think you will accomplish here?
Platonic: Hah. I don’t even know where I’m going to be in Real Life in 100 days. I think I’m supposed to be in Beijing around then, but don’t quote me on that. If I’m still here, I’ll probably be doing the same thing I’m going now: bitching about random subjects on the forums with varying degrees of eloquence. As I said, I’m interested in the social aspect of eRepublik, not the mechanical aspect. As such, you can expect me to be more involved in the social parts of the game (newspapers, conversations, forums, etc) and less in the actual game part (I doubt I’m going to be making many more companies, nor hiring many more people). I’ll also probably have a hand in the legal aspect as it eventually develops, as I find that fairly interesting as well.
Dish: Now we can move on to your recent draft of the constitution. What was the basic purpose or need for our Constitution, and what are it’s best points? What do you think we should improve on?
Platonic: Well, the Constitution was made because we were told by the admins a month ago or so that a Constitution was the only way we could have a legal system beyond the contractual system already in place. I’m quite happy with what I’ve come up with, actually. The point of the Constitution is that it needs to be as malleable as possible to reflect the ever-changing morals of the people, and I think I pulled that off quite nicely. There is only one fixed legal law: that people are allowed to have whatever opinion they want. Fairly basic. Other than that, everything, from the laws to the court system, to the amount of people involved in the system, all varies depending on the situation. Toss in the fact that it can be edited by Congress, and you’ve got an adaptive bit of legalese that should last a while.
Dish: There have been other countries in Erepublik to either draft a constitution, or work on one. How would you compare the one you penned to the ones that are already in existence?
Platonic: Well, no offense to the other constitutions, but compared to those this is the first actually serious document. If I recall correctly, the Irish one claimed that they would be ninjas in times of war. I was tempted to include something like that for ours involving pirates, but I opted against it. In reality, the United States Constitution is one of the most famous pieces of legalese in the world, and the founding document around which many democracies are based on. I hoped that I could do it justice in the electronic world.
Dish: Alright, very lofty, although I wouldnt expect anything less of you. Last one: How would you rank YOUR top five countries in the world, and why?

Boycott, eRepublikan Manifesto, and other news
Boycott Update
Earlier this week I called for a boycott of USA Proud's products based on business ethics that I construed (and many others) as "dirty". While this boycott has not had the outreaching effect that was intended when I wrote it, it has, in my opinion, created communication and understanding between myself, the citizens of the US, and Vienna Holdings as to what we should all strive for in owning a business. We are still debating an "Ethics Contract" which may or may not happen but in my opinion a good majority of this issue has been solved. Let me clarify, that I did not nor will not boycott anyone or anything because of it's Nationality. The United States was founded and is still based on the principle of "Send me your tired, your weak, and your hungry" and for any one of us to go against something based on heritage would be, well simply put, un-American. I would remind you that one of our more popular citizens in this country, Vos, is from Sweden and we have accepted him with open arms. I asked for the boycott due to someone, in my opinion, running their business unethically in which Vienna and I and several others have had good conversation over. He has provided jobs and products to the United States economy that were not available before, and we cannot fault that. I will say that I am no longer boycotting USA Proud's goods. They are not truly imports as they are made by American workers for American peoples. If you choose to boycott them or buy their products, as it has been before is up to you. eRepublikan ManifestoGeneral Elections will take place in ten days. Unless something weird happens, the candidates will be myself, Lucios Nava, Benn Dover, Diarmuid Trelsman, and Joseph Salute. Esoom, myself, and several others have been working on a Manifesto for our RfC party. I have gotten input from several people, and if your eRepublikan and would like to see something else added to it, then please feel free. Here's the body that we have worked on up to this point. Federal Government The following are what I (we) believe the Federal Government should represent in the United States: 1. Smaller Government, Open to Participation Too often have we all run into the roadblock that says "You are asking the wrong person (department, organization)". We should establish a minimal set of Government branches to deal with the problems and maintain the United States, but at the same time they should all be open for participation and communication. The list of Federal Agencies are as follows: Chief of Staff to the President: The COS is crucial in maintaining easier communication to the President, as well as coordinating and overseeing the programs and Agencies that are currently in place. Council of Economic Advisors: A council of three members can better maintain and assess problems and solutions that face our domestic economic markets today. One Senior (to solve disputes) and two Deputies would allow for the power to be taken soley from the President and truly govern in a Democratic setting. It would also free access to the panel for the Business councils to relay problems in specific industries. Office of Foreign Trade: The office of Foreign Trade would be directly responsible for assessing the value of trade agreements and finding market benefits to exporting. This would be a small group of people that would communicate to the COS through one Senior member. This office will also be responsible for finding high yield money exchanges for the foreign currency in our Reserve. National Security Council: This would maintain the same in the new setup, so long as the head of the Department provides an accurate chain of command to show progress. United Healthcare System: The United Healthcare System would not be a Government run hospital manufacturer like it is setup through other countries. It would be a way to provide hospitals to more regions by picking up a percentage of the cost to the regions, providing they meet certain qualifying factors. Our National Gifting programs would also run directly through the head of the UHS. It would help regulate costs to our own regions, and if hospital manufacturers had surplus it would help them on the exporting side as well. CEP/USFRC/BBBS/US UEO: These programs were all set up to communicate in some fashion to grow our active population. In doing so, they would work together under the head of the CEP, to better coordinate between the offices. 2. Surplus: In an effort to build economic surplus in products and growth among quality in the US to better our own wellness and abilities, we should promote surplus through lower quality businesses in the US through the use of subsidy and exporting. This would allow the GM of the company to not have to sell his goods and promote his employees to move to higher quality companies, as those goods are more desirable by both other countries and our own citizens. 3. Federal Reserve: It is my (our) belief that the Federal Reserve should NOT be giving loans to private citizens. It is the job of the Reserve to grow AND regulate the value of our money, and cannot do so risking it's most valuable assets in such high risk endevours. a. The Fed will regulate currency on the money market, both USD and Gold. b. The Fed will provide low interest (topped out at 6%) loans to private banks, and be first lien holder on all loans given out by that bank should the private bank not repay the loan. All loans will be required to be signed by the private bank and a standardised contract written for all banks so it's easier to understand by all parties involved. CongressCongressional suggestions: Currently, it's up to the President to make decisions to put to vote in the Congress, and Congress simply has to vote on it. By allowing for Congressional suggestions to the President it allows for better assessment of our current situation and therefore better management of our daily economic issues. Local GovernmentCurrently, Mayors hold all power in a region, but outside of the major cities being Mayor really puts you in somewhat of a predicament. With better communication and participation in the Mayors Tribunal and funds for each region for gifting programs it better helps those Mayors accomplish what they are truly elected for: To help their people. They can do gift and wellness programs, coordinate for hospitals through the UHS, and even go through the US UEO if they have citizens in need of jobs. The more they are empowered to do at a local level, the less the Federal Government seems like a Dictatorship as to how they live their lives. International PoliticsSomeone once said "Why can't we be Friends?" To us, this holds true. As a group, we see no reason for armed conflict initiated by the United States. While due diligence has its rewards in preparation for the inevitable, we should remain neutral in matters that do not affect us as long as possible. We should forge friendships on an International Scale, keep to our neutral stance while protecting our borders. Armed conflict should only be used as a final resort, and only if our sovereignity is broached by another nation first. HealthcareWe will work to secure a Q4 hospital for the United States. Once that is completed, we will then try to promote growth within our own hospital systems in the US. This will be one of our main goals for the term should we be elected. ActivityIt seems that over periods of time people either keep interested or become disinterested very easily. We will establish a program, run and coordinated by the Department of Work, for an acitivty bonus. Thats right, we will pay you a small weekly bonus just for showing up and helping out. Requirements: Off the cuff, requirements will be that you provide an email address, are employed or actively seeking employment, and training for the military. SO's and such are not eligible, as they do not represent actual citizens. Presidential DebateI would like to see an actual debate for this election. I will agree to participate on the following terms, seeing as how the last one was so messy: 1. Each Presidential candidate, a moderator, and five guests to be agreed upon by the candidates are to be present. 2. Questions must be gathered beforehand, and asked in a grammatically correct manner. 3. This debate should be done 3 days before the elections (at least) so the transcript can be made available to all US Citizens before the election. 4. Earlier this week I called for a boycott of USA Proud's products based on business ethics that I construed (and many others) as "dirty". While this boycott has not had the outreaching effect that was intended when I wrote it, it has, in my opinion, created communication and understanding between myself, the citizens of the US, and Vienna Holdings as to what we should all strive for in owning a business. We are still debating an "Ethics Contract" which may or may not happen but in my opinion a good majority of this issue has been solved. Let me clarify, that I did not nor will not boycott anyone or anything because of it's Nationality. The United States was founded and is still based on the principle of "Send me your tired, your weak, and your hungry" and for any one of us to go against something based on heritage would be, well simply put, un-American. I would remind you that one of our more popular citizens in this country, Vos, is from Sweden and we have accepted him with open arms. I asked for the boycott due to someone, in my opinion, running their business unethically in which Vienna and I and several others have had good conversation over. He has provided jobs and products to the United States economy that were not available before, and we cannot fault that. I will say that I am no longer boycotting USA Proud's goods. They are not truly imports as they are made by American workers for American peoples. If you choose to boycott them or buy their products, as it has been before is up to you. eRepublikan ManifestoGeneral Elections will take place in ten days. Unless something weird happens, the candidates will be myself, Lucios Nava, Benn Dover, Diarmuid Trelsman, and Joseph Salute. Esoom, myself, and several others have been working on a Manifesto for our RfC party. I have gotten input from several people, and if your eRepublikan and would like to see something else added to it, then please feel free. Here's the body that we have worked on up to this point. Federal Government The following are what I (we) believe the Federal Government should represent in the United States: 1. Smaller Government, Open to Participation Too often have we all run into the roadblock that says "You are asking the wrong person (department, organization)". We should establish a minimal set of Government branches to deal with the problems and maintain the United States, but at the same time they should all be open for participation and communication. The list of Federal Agencies are as follows: Chief of Staff to the President: The COS is crucial in maintaining easier communication to the President, as well as coordinating and overseeing the programs and Agencies that are currently in place. Council of Economic Advisors: A council of three members can better maintain and assess problems and solutions that face our domestic economic markets today. One Senior (to solve disputes) and two Deputies would allow for the power to be taken soley from the President and truly govern in a Democratic setting. It would also free access to the panel for the Business councils to relay problems in specific industries. Office of Foreign Trade: The office of Foreign Trade would be directly responsible for assessing the value of trade agreements and finding market benefits to exporting. This would be a small group of people that would communicate to the COS through one Senior member. This office will also be responsible for finding high yield money exchanges for the foreign currency in our Reserve. National Security Council: This would maintain the same in the new setup, so long as the head of the Department provides an accurate chain of command to show progress. United Healthcare System: The United Healthcare System would not be a Government run hospital manufacturer like it is setup through other countries. It would be a way to provide hospitals to more regions by picking up a percentage of the cost to the regions, providing they meet certain qualifying factors. Our National Gifting programs would also run directly through the head of the UHS. It would help regulate costs to our own regions, and if hospital manufacturers had surplus it would help them on the exporting side as well. CEP/USFRC/BBBS/US UEO: These programs were all set up to communicate in some fashion to grow our active population. In doing so, they would work together under the head of the CEP, to better coordinate between the offices. 2. Surplus: In an effort to build economic surplus in products and growth among quality in the US to better our own wellness and abilities, we should promote surplus through lower quality businesses in the US through the use of subsidy and exporting. This would allow the GM of the company to not have to sell his goods and promote his employees to move to higher quality companies, as those goods are more desirable by both other countries and our own citizens. 3. Federal Reserve: It is my (our) belief that the Federal Reserve should NOT be giving loans to private citizens. It is the job of the Reserve to grow AND regulate the value of our money, and cannot do so risking it's most valuable assets in such high risk endevours. a. The Fed will regulate currency on the money market, both USD and Gold. b. The Fed will provide low interest (topped out at 6%) loans to private banks, and be first lien holder on all loans given out by that bank should the private bank not repay the loan. All loans will be required to be signed by the private bank and a standardised contract written for all banks so it's easier to understand by all parties involved. CongressCongressional suggestions: Currently, it's up to the President to make decisions to put to vote in the Congress, and Congress simply has to vote on it. By allowing for Congressional suggestions to the President it allows for better assessment of our current situation and therefore better management of our daily economic issues. Local GovernmentCurrently, Mayors hold all power in a region, but outside of the major cities being Mayor really puts you in somewhat of a predicament. With better communication and participation in the Mayors Tribunal and funds for each region for gifting programs it better helps those Mayors accomplish what they are truly elected for: To help their people. They can do gift and wellness programs, coordinate for hospitals through the UHS, and even go through the US UEO if they have citizens in need of jobs. The more they are empowered to do at a local level, the less the Federal Government seems like a Dictatorship as to how they live their lives. International PoliticsSomeone once said "Why can't we be Friends?" To us, this holds true. As a group, we see no reason for armed conflict initiated by the United States. While due diligence has its rewards in preparation for the inevitable, we should remain neutral in matters that do not affect us as long as possible. We should forge friendships on an International Scale, keep to our neutral stance while protecting our borders. Armed conflict should only be used as a final resort, and only if our sovereignity is broached by another nation first. HealthcareWe will work to secure a Q4 hospital for the United States. Once that is completed, we will then try to promote growth within our own hospital systems in the US. This will be one of our main goals for the term should we be elected. ActivityIt seems that over periods of time people either keep interested or become disinterested very easily. We will establish a program, run and coordinated by the Department of Work, for an acitivty bonus. Thats right, we will pay you a small weekly bonus just for showing up and helping out. Requirements: Off the cuff, requirements will be that you provide an email address, are employed or actively seeking employment, and training for the military. SO's and such are not eligible, as they do not represent actual citizens. Presidential DebateI would like to see an actual debate for this election. I will agree to participate on the following terms, seeing as how the last one was so messy: 1. Each Presidential candidate, a moderator, and five guests to be agreed upon by the candidates are to be present. 2. Questions must be gathered beforehand, and asked in a grammatically correct manner. 3. This debate should be done 3 days before the elections (at least) so the transcript can be made available to all US Citizens before the election. 4. Many of you might be wondering just who on eEarth the Conservative Party is and why should you vote for our candidate. We are a small, but growing, eUK political party who wishes to help the economy of our beloved land by lowering the local tax rate, stimulating growth and encouraging beginning entrepreneurs. It is our joint belief that by having a solid base our market place can take center stage in the world, which in turn would attract more people to move here and help us become an overall stronger nation, bringing pride to our citizens and showing that we truly are the best.
So who is Londinense? He is a dedicated and passionate man who loves our cherished capital so much it is a part of his name. He has shown time after time that he looks out for not only our own citizens but also for our allies as well. He helped aide not only Israel in its time of need but also left a promising career to help keep Switzerland safe and independent during the recent aggressions. E-UK president speech about War
Dear countrymen, dear countrywoman, dear soldiers and dear para\\\'s,
E-UK has always been a beacon of light in this E-world. Every time a country was in danger of being oppressed or invaded, we stood at its side (just look at SA, Australia,..). Each time we had a call for help, we answered it and fought for the freedom of others, because we feel that there is nothing more important in this E-world then freedom.
The Mediterranean Alliance has started a war against Switzerland. A helpless small country. Why did they do to deserve that war you might ask? Simply because Switzerland wanted to sign a MPP treaty with Sweden, their neighbour. Isn\\\'t it the right of all country\\\'s make a pact with their neighbours and thus securing their borders? Isn\\\'t safety a universal right? \\\"no\\\" said the MA, and so they have started a war.
The MA wanted to make a puppet out Switzerland by forcing it to join to the MA under the terms that can be found here . The Swiss are a proud ppl and naturally they do not sign this ridiculous contract. (www.erepublik.com/forum-topic-29232.html) This is pure arrogance from the part of the MA. No country should ever pay for security, and we will make sure it stays that way. We must put an end to this.
Norway has reacted immediately to this great injustice and annexation and will sent troops, just as Sweden and many other countries. Since we are part of the northern alliance, I feel that we must not stay behind. When we signed the Northern Alliance treaty we chose to receive all the benefits, now it’s time to fulfil our duties and obligations as well, helping the weak.
We will start with sending in the para’s. Our military officers are preparing Operation Toblerone Shield as we speak and the selected para’s will get their orders from the officers.
Good luck troops and raise some hell over there. And remember: “though I walk trough the valley of shadows, I shall fear no evil…. For I am the most evil motherf*cker in the whole damm valley!!!!!!”

I usually am against government intervention, but all companies trying to gain enormous profits from this situation by asking ridiculously prices for their good will be punished and I guarantee them now, we have found the ways to do that and you will lose more money then you will earn.
