Interesting events around Erepublik

- Tomorrow local elections will take place for the 7th time in Erepublik. An interesting battle will be in Cluj-Napoca between Korobase Piratul and FlorinGrozea (Florin is a famous pop singer in real life in Romania). Good luck to all competitors.

- Changes: When a Citizen becomes a soldier, from now on he will start with 0 (zero) strength. To enter a battle his strength will need to be at least level 1.

- The next version of Erepublik is really starting to take shapes. We will need the help of some users to test it before launching. We will keep you updated with more news and infos about v1, in the next period of time. You will have even some pictures on our blog with our team brainstorming and developing the new Erepublik. Screen-shots and later features will be revealed once the launching date is approaching

- King Waseem had a great idea and interviewed Platonic in one of the longest interviews in Erepublik and here are the links to it: part 1, part 2 and part 3.
Also, Dishmcds the President of USA, wrote an interesting analysis for early June from an eRepublikan point of view.

- In the last week-end we had two interesting community meetings in real life, in Madrid and Bucharest. Read more about the events on our latest blog post

- Today we gave 3 more invites to Citizens who had no invitations left.

Our regards to all of you,
The Erepublik Team

eRepublik Analysis for Early June

War and Peace, Volume 3

For any player that is not familiar with me (and we seem to have many new players here over the last few weeks), I have been in Erepublik for roughly 7 months now (mid-December). Anyone can tell you that I enjoy writing, as it’s one the true pure ways to express yourself here. With more than 190 articles in four different countries and two primary newspapers (the original CS&L Newsletter is now the Mongoose Corporate Newsletter, which I believe I wrote all but 3 or 4 for that one), it’s my outlet to express myself.

This article will be no different in length than any other editorial I have written, so make sure you brought your lunch with you.

StereoTypical Players

A few months ago, I wrote an article (before the release of the war module, but I cant seem to find the link) about the 4 different stereotypes of players we have in Erepublik. Over time, we have gathered citizens from many different types of online communities and circles of friends, which has changed our demographic dramatically. Erepublik only really peaks the interest of certain types of people, so many different citizens from many countries sign up and bore from the lack of technical requirement necessary to do our daily chores.

The fact is that Erepublik, being in BETA stage and under development, really only applies to intellectual individuals who take things upon themselves. We are all doers in our own way, whether that be selling high quality mercenary services (Alucard) to creating tables of economic statistics for every country (or at least the top 20) in Erepublik (Kaleb, Reformer’s Chronicle). Both are highly time consuming, since no one can perfect a craft they do not apply themselves to. Both take quite the amount of effort and intelligence, just in different areas.

The good thing about where we stand in Erepublik is that we have gathered a strong base of intellectual individuals from all kinds of backgrounds (from Legal, Platonic, to Economic, to military, etc) and from all over the world. At almost any time of day in any time zone you’ll find something to do somewhere. Now, all we lack is the open channel of bringing in other players that do not want to spend the time necessary to accomplish things such as gaining Presidency, running companies, growing countries, etc. To be honest, one of the most time consuming things I have ever done is to lead a political party, between setting election candidates, communicating issues, and setting party ranks.

Bring in the RAID man

One of the larger complaints we have all had from time to time is the existance of bugs. Even I have become extremely frustrated from time to time at some of them, which have hindered my ability to control things that I must be able to. I have had a good relationship with the admin and dev team for some time, which has helped me to get to know the things they go through as well.

See, we forget sometimes that this is still a new concept, and that there’s roughly 20 people in a small office complex trying to fix problems from all over the world. I am unfamiliar with code, but I do know that it is time consuming to not only fix but find where bugs exist. George, Alexis, and Company have done fairly well up to this point, outside of my obvious criticisms of lack of manpower in their team. That, I have been told, may change in the future as I am sure they’ll hire others to help out once it releases, but for now we must remember that even if all 20 members were community relations (rather than programmers) they’d be looking at dealing with 1000 citizens per person.

Big Picture Thinking

Now, on to the real issue I think we all face each day. We are all inter-dependant which I have said before. Even a company owner relies on his workers to come to work, and his customers to purchase goods. Workers rely on companies to have money to pay salary and be competitive in the marketplace, but other consumers in order to keep their jobs. Both rely on the Government to regulate tax, protect domestic industry, and ensure ready supply in all areas.

Where we run into issues is trying to apply one train of thought to a problem.

For instance, I carry a large and expansive government staff that all have their own departments and responsibilities. I check on the once per week, and we have a cabinet meeting to discuss pertinent issues facing us. Each department has the option to expand to more members should they choose, and I have given the option to pay each department so long as they complete the required work that I have asked for (which is the balance I implemented to keep from paying for nothing). The benefits to this are that more members are involved therefore we get more opinions on each subject, and it cuts the amount of communication each department has to make to that which only applies to that department.

The other side to that spectrum is small government. The benefits are little control over the population (which can also be viewed as a problem for some), and a smaller gap between what people would call the Elite and the “Regular Joe”. Downside to this is that with less control means less insight.

The bigger picture requires a combination of both, and only those applicable to Erepublik. Not only do I, as President, have a responsiblity to protect my own citizens from paying too much for product, but I have a responsibility to those same businesses to ensure that that are given equal opportunity to be profitable. Then I have to turn around and analyze markets overseas and our own to see what supplies we need, and where we have a surplus to export for profit.

Combine that with ensuring that every citizen’s wellness is being cared for (National Gifting Program, which is still more successful than any other in the US), unemployment goes and stays down (down from 20 pages to 15 in the last two days) through the US Unemployment Agency, to ensuring growth of the country at a steady rate. While growth is always good, spikes and sudden influx of new citizens without direction or knowledge simply creates chaos in both our economy, media, and military. Then, most of those quit because they get frustrated.

So the challenges we face as a Nation arent all that easy from a President’s Standpoint, but the poosibilities are still there. Any citizen can do anything they want. Thats the American way, dream, and ambition. To be the best. While we all look forward to changes in various aspects of Erepublik come V1, to me we have just as much of an opportunity to change now. We, as players can implement just as much in the form of ideas and actions. All it takes are citizens willing to take the time do so.

Message from the admin: Let’s write the history of Erepublik

“Dear Citizens,

Each one of you has his part in the history of The New World and now after 206 days it is time to keep a record of it in order to help the children of Erepublik understand our past actions and maybe learn from them (or not).

We have managed to write the first lines of the Erepublik history on the official wiki We know that there are many important events that should be added in this page and we invite all Citizens to help us get it right.
Imagine what our history books in school would have looked like if, they had been written by people who actually lived it.

Also another interesting idea is to have the history of each country in Erepublik on its specific wiki page. This would later be linked with the country presentation page, giving everyone a chance to really understand the dynamics of each country and of its major citizens.

Each month, for the top wiki contributors we will have special prizes (T-shirts, stickers and Erepublik Gold). Cristesco will make the announcement on the forum and will give more details about this in the following days. For more details about the wiki please visit this forum topic or the wiki help page.

Other stuff:

- 10 days must pass until you can vote, if you have changed your location and moved to another country.
- We have the first General in Erepublik: Alucard Bloodlust and he has won 210 battles.
- South Africa has moved the battlefields on Indonesian soil and Czech Republic vs Hungary is now the longest active war (14 days).

Thank you for your support,
The Erepublik Team.”

A new country in Erepublik

Today Slovenia became the newest country in Erepublik. We have received many suggestions regarding this subject and we have decided that this is the right moment to add Slovenia

The new country will be divided in six regions (Upper Carniola, Styria and Carinthia, Prekmurje, Inner Carniola, Lower Carniola, Slovenian Littoral ) with the capital city in Ljubljana.

In order to help Slovenia reach a reasonable level of development, no wars will be able to start against it for the next 30 days (until 10th of July). If one of the neighboring countries decides to declare war to Slovenia the proposal will be canceled. Also, the Slovenian first President (which will be elected on the 1st of July) will not be able to propose war to other countries until the 10th of July.

Other countries will be added constantly in Erepublik considering the traffic sources. From all the countries that are not in Erepublik, Slovenia had the most visits.
We welcome all Slovenians and we send them our best regards.

New funding for Erepublik

To keep the rivers of energizers flowing, the Erepublik project received a first round of funding from business angels.
These investors have tremendous Internet experience and will help us deliver to you a great new version of Erepublik this year. Here you can see how Alexis and George express their feelings about it (they really need those energizers :P).

Thank you for your support, and don’t forget to vote for the party elections.

If you want to attend, please send a private message to Alexis Bonte with your real name so you can be included on the list.
There will be a surprise for the first 20 citizens who show up. Drinks and snacks for all others as well as stickers.

On another matter, today all Citizens without invitations have received three more. So invite your friends in Erepublik and win more gold.

The 5th Decimal

Finally! We are going to have more decimals in the monetary exchange. I’m very pleased with this not least because I’ve been petitioning for it for a couple of months now!

This helps with fixing a particular exploit but what we really need is to be able to do make offers of currency to Gold in more decimals! Even a third decimal would make a big difference.

This is going to be really good for the economy of the game and further improve the accuracy of the game as an economical simulation.

A couple of predictions I would like to make if this happens:

1) The gap between the buy and sell rates of most currencies will narrow significantly. In some countries this gap is quite large and citizens are often able to make money buy capitalising on this differntial. This will now be harder to do.

2) Expect several currencies to devalue further. PTE and ESP are two currencies that are likely to start dropping significantly. This will have the knock on effect of creating further inflation in those currencies.

Important eRepublik news! Pakistan political leader orders to pakistani squads moved to Germany

This is what a political leader from Pakistan has written to pakistani troops in Germany:
Squad 1 (Meatshield) - Notice #1

Men of Meatshield, pack your bags and load your weapons.
Medics, stock up on sand-gifts and start healing soldiers.

Prepare for battle!
Move information tomorrow, stay tuned!
Squad 1 (Meatshield) - Order #3

ALL SQUAD 1 MEMBERS ARE TO REPORT TO MUNICH, GERMANY.
ALL THOSE WHO ARE UNABLE TO MOVE (such as me, i’m the communication operator) ARE TO OPERATE AS A MEDIC AND IF NEEDED AS CONSCRIPTION INFANTRY.

THIS IS AN ORDER, SOLDIERS. MOVE OUT!
Squad 1 (Meatshield) - Order #4

All soldiers are to defend germany and NEVER attack the enemy positions. We’re outnumbered 4:1 and we can’t afford to lose soldiers.

Also, something happend to our mountains of supplies. Probably a bug, but companies need to start putting out more provisions.
Meatshield (Squad #1) - Order #5

All forces are to mobilize for PEACE operations. Soldiers need atleast 2 moving tickets. Weapons aren’t clear, but it’s nice to have some just incase!

On a drearier note, 2 members of our squad have passed away (craggles and !IDORT).

Remember comrades, we fight for Dio, our friends, our family, power, pride…

PAKISTAN.
Meatshield (Squad #1) - Order #6

Hello Meatshield,

I just received orders from Dio. We have a very strict battle plans, so I will need you to check this newspaper every day. BE SURE YOU DO. if you need medical support report there as well.

Now with the orders. ******* **** ****. Go to Brandenburg, be sure to have two moving tickets. We will help to recreate the great germany and we will free the polish people from the snow oppression. We expect sweden to pull a tricky move, BE AWARE.

If you need money, I was given some pkr by Dio Brando to help you. Feel free to request some if you can”t afford moving tickets (apparently we hope to get Pakistani tickets so try not to buy the highly expensive american ones)

Expect updates. **** ****, keikaku is awesome.

PRIDE
POWER
PAKISTAN

A new war in Europe: Germany is going to attack Poland

Today, Sulla wrote an article in which he announces that he declares war to Poland . The main reason is that Germany doesn’t want to be Sweden’s puppet anymore. Sulla sais that he has the support of many states and that he doesn’t want to reveal those states’ names now. These secrets kept by Germany, together with the secrets kept by Pakistan make us think that between those two countries have secretly allied. It is almost sure that Poland will fall under German domination because USA will not interfere.

Is Pakistan preparing for war?

Today, Dio Brando called the preparation of 3 regiments of his warriors. This means there are two possibilities:

1. Preparing for war against some neighboring country

2. Going to help somebody who is preparing for war

As a result, gifts prices have had a substantial rise, moving tickets are exhausted or sold on the black market at 100PKR and the soldiers are “advised” to buy some weapons “just in case”.

Although they say it will be nothing but a peaceful mission, I have my doubts.

Or, are they going to conquer Thailand by vote?

Changes regarding alliances in eRepublik

Taking into account the events that succeeded in the past few days, we are announcing the following changes:

- A Mutual Protection Pact (MPP) signed by both Presidents will become active after 3 days, and it will protect the 2 countries just for the wars declared after the 3 days have passed;
- A MPP that is canceled will still remain valid for a period of 3 days;
- Country Presidents will be able to cancel any Congress proposal before it is passed or rejected. Canceling a war proposal will give back 75% of the cost of the war. Rejecting a war proposal will give back 100%.
Don’t forget that the proposals become valid at 00:10 am (Erepublik time) at least 24 hours (and 10 minutes) after the Congress vote.

The changes in the code will be available in the next days.

For the moment there are four open war proposals, ready to be voted in Congress, in the following countries:

Pakistan to attack China
USA to attack Canada
Slovakia to attack Czech Republic
Belgium to attack UK

If one of the Presidents of Pakistan, USA, Slovakia or Belgium want to cancel their proposal, they will need to contact us and we recommend they make their opinion public.

Day 184 - MA More Solid and Denmark a Country which Never Gives Up

Denmark – a Country which Never Gives Up
Copenhagen – the fact is Denmark has been occupied by Sweden, but the country is not the same like the other countries who already occupied by others. Currently Grev Per has been elected again as mayor of Copenhagen. Grev Per is ex-president of Denmark before it occupied by Sweden. Before the election, he sent pm to 20 of his men to move to Copenhagen and win the election over there. And most of his men followed it and it leads him to victory.

There is not much who can be like them. Russia fled an organized, Australia seems prefer to start government in exile in Britain, Switzerland citizen fled to Bulgaria to start new life, and so on. But not with Denmark, they prove their self as a nation who didn’t leave their motherland, and keep fight with whatever they can.

Poland Government Non Existent
Warsaw – Poland who has 69 citizens has been reported that its Government is basically non-existent. That’s what president Party of UPR - 8DeadBoys said. His opponent party said to has many multi with 90% fake account. But of course this fact can’t be proven. UPR currently has 11 members and the biggest party that owned government has 14 members. UPR has a great chance to have presidential chair next election. 8DeadBoys offer more active government and want to have some MPPs with Pakistan, USA or France.
The opponent party – SPP who control the government now is lead by Alex-Rod, he got big political issue when many people refuses his plan to burn the money. He was reported has stolen Poland’s gold, selling 45 GOLD with rate 1Gold = 1 PLN. State treasury got 45 PLN for this gold, when market value was 6300 PLN. When we tried to see Alex-Rod account, it appears to be missing.
Will Poland grow up and be a strong country? (Many sources from Poland’s media)

Argentina Suspicious of Brazil
Buenos Aires – Canada and Hungary reported to formerly join MA, it’s stated by their MPP with Spain. But Argentina seems to look after the MPP between their neighbors as well. MPP that made by Brazil with Indonesia and Iran make them worry. At least that is what reported by Iskander Etchart in his report. Brazil and Argentina currently has really tight sum of soldiers. Brazil join MPP block with Asia and Pan American Alliance (PAA), while Argentina has MPP with Sweden and also PAA. It’s not clear yet if Brazil will be a threat for Argentina since both countries has MPP.
On the other hand the hospital company in Argentina seems to be bankrupt, and it was urged to government to make it runs since they need to prepare on worst situation. They point their finger to Joimzhando still because he took the Gold from treasury few months ago.
From Brazil reported everything looks all right and seem to don’t have any problem at all.
(http://www.erepublik.com/article-290922.html, http://www.erepublik.com/article-293221.html)

The Union of World Socialist
Jakarta – There has been a legitimate information said that there is a group who trying to form the union of World Socialist. One of socialist party from Brazil – USB has confirmed message in order to ask them to join the union. Below are the parties that interested to join the membership:
Democratic Socialist Party of Iran (Iran)
Parti Social Dómocrate (France)
Brazilian Socialist Union (Brazil)
Social Democratic Party (Czech Republic)
Social Democratic Party (Spain)
Canadian Social Democrats (Canada)
It said that their goal is support of socialism on the world.
Based on USB press release, this union does not have something fixed and defined yet, and this union is still forming and asking ideological contributions to be discussed. The forum for this union can be accessed here: http://theinternationale.proboards83.com
But it seems this International Organization is same as International Communism, eRNews still trying to have more detail info from its source.
Marilia the president party of USB got message from Red Resistance Front in Russia, he said the goal is to increase the International solidarities between parties of left and facilitate discussions between them.
When eRNews view their website, it has "Workers of the world, Unite!" on the front page.
(http://www.erepublik.com/press_release-20732.html, http://www.erepublik.com/press_release-20722.html)

Canada Army Organized
Iqualuit – Canada trying to learn from their previous war, today they did something that never done before, its form an army. Currently Canada has formed 4 platoons where every platoon leads by Dascoo, Banach, Althalus and Adam Sutler. The list is still in progress and hopefully with more recruits there will be a 5th.
Det Jon Kimble and Dascoo are the generals of Canadian Army that has proven their skill on Canadian War. Government call to its citizen to join the army.
Currently Canada trying to recover from their last war, import tax really low and expected to be raised soon. It proves that Canadian industry has growing to be more health.
(http://www.erepublik.com/article-289011.html, http://www.erepublik.com/article-289061.html, and other sources)

Mediterranean Alliance more Solid
ImageParis – Many people angry when the battle of Switzerland erupts, why? Because Spain as part of MA has officially stated that they won’t supply any troops. It’s happen because miscommunication when MA made discussion on this war previously. The representative of Spain in this discussion said that Spain has no problem with war, then when Italy and French declare it, Spain Government surprised since the representative of Spain didn’t consult about this with his Government.

Thanks to Pakistan that they willing to help French while Switzerland got help from Nordic Alliance. Many citizens got angry but they calm down now after they have the victory. Today it was reported that MA trying to organize. They are trying to form new voting system which does not favor large countries or small countries of the alliance, the purpose of this system is helping to resolve disputes over a lack of voice in the alliance, and such. On latest news, Canada and Hungary has joined the MA as well.
However, MA has rule to make MPP with Pakistan to be broken, it was said that you can not have MPP with a country that is not a member of MA. But French seem to have self confidence that although they don’t have MPP with Pakistan, their relation still good.

Lack of Houses in Portugal
Lisbon – Currently there is a lack of house in Portugal, one of the biggest house company over there – Habitat, has sold over 15 houses in 11 days! It was said that Porto got limited PTE now (local currency), but other citizen claimed that it’s not because of PTE, but it’s because the lack of labor.
However government will run a plan to control the market, with this policy the market expected can provide goods for all citizens. (Many sources)

Boredom in some countries
Jakarta – War is over and many citizen happy when the war has end. Will it last long, not sure yet since some citizen of USA has entered another state of life - Boredom.
This situation seems to happen on several countries. Many players jumping around from one country to country became mercenary, or became politician. Some starting to flame the media with their multi, and in other regions there is character assassination (an act to put a victim became permanently banned). Hackers on the other hand use this peace time to explore the whole system of eRepublik looking for new hole to be exploited.
eRepublik offer great social interaction, but for those who already bored with ideas, the game became bored since all they can do only two click on buttons.
So, war is avoidable for pushing excitement and rolls the economy. Which country going to be next?

The World in a Nutshell: An Interview with Platonic

Dish: Recently you penned and published the Declaration of Indendance of the Nation of Hawaii along with Korbin King. Korbin has since decided to leave us, so where does that leave Hawaii in the grand scheme of things, and how is your official role defined?
Platonic: Essentially, yes (meaning the declaration of indendance is still valid), But as was stated during the independence declaration, Hawaii is more or less pseudo-libertarian. Other than handling International affairs, I don’t really do much unless asked.

Dish: You campaigned to run in the last election, but were unable to run due to the lack of a write in ballot. Do you plan on campaigning for and running in the next election?
Platonic: No, I’m not going to be running for President again. As you fairly pointed out during the debate, I was mostly running because I was bored. I’ve got a whole bunch on my plate over the Summer, so don’t expect to hear much from me at all beyond whatever contracts people are asking me to write up.

Dish: Very good. Now we get a little more philosophical. How do you see yourself in Erepublik, and what do you see yourself becoming in our new World, and what do you think the biggest benefits and drawbacks to it are?
Platonic: Myself? I see myself as an orator, and whatever benefits that entails: diplomacy, legalese, etc. The legal background helps when people want to deal with the Contracts section, but mostly I just enjoy tossing my opinion about using big words and fancy phrases. As to what I think about eRepublik, well, you could fill a book with the various things I like and dislike about the game. I enjoy the idea of it – the idea of simulating the political stage for the layman, so that people who will in all honesty never have nearly the same responsibility in reality have a taste of what it’s like in a simulation. My main problem, which I have been
very vocal about as of late, is twofold:

1) that the game is advertised as a “simulation” whereas, in fact, it is mostly a naïve sanitation of reality, and

2) that the administration is forcing it’s puritanical moralism on its populace. Again, if you want the full details on that though, you can see the flurry of articles/posts I made on the subject.

Dish: Recently, you have been very outspoken to the new moderation taking place in the forums of late. How would you improve Erepublik on the whole, and what would your solution be to your problem?
Platonic: Well, it’s fairly easy: apart from dealing with obvious spam and advertisement, don’t moderate. This is supposed to be a game that’s based around human interaction. Let us interact. Ask one or two players to act as janitors, cleaning up the obvious trash, but otherwise leave it alone. Unfortunately, the decision has been made to enforce morals, and as we have very clearly seen with the idea to have people pay for gold, once an idea is made, no amount of complaining by the player-base can change anything. Hmph. “Relying on player suggestions” indeed.

Dish: Ah, another philosophical one for ya. Where do you see yourself in 100 days here in Erepublik, and what are your goals? What do you think you will accomplish here?
Platonic: Hah. I don’t even know where I’m going to be in Real Life in 100 days. I think I’m supposed to be in Beijing around then, but don’t quote me on that. If I’m still here, I’ll probably be doing the same thing I’m going now: bitching about random subjects on the forums with varying degrees of eloquence. As I said, I’m interested in the social aspect of eRepublik, not the mechanical aspect. As such, you can expect me to be more involved in the social parts of the game (newspapers, conversations, forums, etc) and less in the actual game part (I doubt I’m going to be making many more companies, nor hiring many more people). I’ll also probably have a hand in the legal aspect as it eventually develops, as I find that fairly interesting as well.
Dish: Now we can move on to your recent draft of the constitution. What was the basic purpose or need for our Constitution, and what are it’s best points? What do you think we should improve on?
Platonic: Well, the Constitution was made because we were told by the admins a month ago or so that a Constitution was the only way we could have a legal system beyond the contractual system already in place. I’m quite happy with what I’ve come up with, actually. The point of the Constitution is that it needs to be as malleable as possible to reflect the ever-changing morals of the people, and I think I pulled that off quite nicely. There is only one fixed legal law: that people are allowed to have whatever opinion they want. Fairly basic. Other than that, everything, from the laws to the court system, to the amount of people involved in the system, all varies depending on the situation. Toss in the fact that it can be edited by Congress, and you’ve got an adaptive bit of legalese that should last a while.

Dish: There have been other countries in Erepublik to either draft a constitution, or work on one. How would you compare the one you penned to the ones that are already in existence?
Platonic: Well, no offense to the other constitutions, but compared to those this is the first actually serious document. If I recall correctly, the Irish one claimed that they would be ninjas in times of war. I was tempted to include something like that for ours involving pirates, but I opted against it. In reality, the United States Constitution is one of the most famous pieces of legalese in the world, and the founding document around which many democracies are based on. I hoped that I could do it justice in the electronic world.

Dish: Alright, very lofty, although I wouldnt expect anything less of you. Last one: How would you rank YOUR top five countries in the world, and why?
Platonic: Top 5 countries in the world? Lets see. I can’t give you a rank, but I can give you names. Pakistan, for giving this game a bit of personality, the UK, mostly because Kaleb managed to single-handily turn the country into a serious player, Sweden, simply because it can’t be ignored, Indonesia (for much the same reason), and of course the US; because, if nothing else, I’m in it.

Updated list of conquered countries in eRepublik. Bookmark this for future reference.

In over 176 days in the New World, some countries are gone, extinct, conquered … by other eRepublik stronger eNations.

I will try to keep an updated list with the “missing” eRepublik countries, not necessarily in a specific order:

1. Belgium - was conquered by the United Kingdom on April 13, 2008 in RL (I’m still not used to these new wonderful dates using New World days). They said it was an union. Four other countries helped the UK in their initiative. Wonderful.

2. Slovakia - was conquered by the Czech Republic on the same day, April 13 2008. Another union.

3. Moldavia was conquered by Romania on April 15, 2008. Our third union this month. This looks like a great game .. they all unite through war. Wonderful.

4. Israel was conquered by Turkey on April 16, 2008. 4th union. This is ridiculous.

5. Australia was conquered by Indonesia on April 18, 2008. No union there, Australia fought back and it looks like they claim a bug made them lose the war. It could be, we are still testing the game.

6. India was CONQUERED by Pakistan on April 21, 2008. No doubt about it, they’ve conquered it. Are there any indians out there? You’re suppose to 1 billion .. in RL. What’s your problem? Get up and fight.

7. Finland was conquered by Norway on April 21, 2008. Ooops … I thought the motto of Finland was: “Finland, be afraid, be very afraid!!“

8. Denmark was conquered by Sweden on April 23, 2008. Karma.

9. South Korea was conquered by Japan on May 08, 2008. They were just “testing” the new war module. Nice.

10. Russia was conquered by Norway on .

11. Switzerland was divided between France and Italy. Gangbanged, I might say.

Later edit:

12. Ukraine was conquered by Romania on May 17, 2008. Turkey got themselves a strong enemy while trying to help the canadian dominated Ukraine.

11 12 countries gone, more will follow. I will try to keep this post updated.

Remember:

You can start a rebellion in any region if you own 100 gold. Get 100, 200, 300 friends together (from other forums maybe), play for a few weeks to build up military skill and gold and fight for your independence.

Londinense for London Mayor - by the Conservative Party

Many of you might be wondering just who on eEarth the Conservative Party is and why should you vote for our candidate. We are a small, but growing, eUK political party who wishes to help the economy of our beloved land by lowering the local tax rate, stimulating growth and encouraging beginning entrepreneurs. It is our joint belief that by having a solid base our market place can take center stage in the world, which in turn would attract more people to move here and help us become an overall stronger nation, bringing pride to our citizens and showing that we truly are the best.

So who is Londinense? He is a dedicated and passionate man who loves our cherished capital so much it is a part of his name. He has shown time after time that he looks out for not only our own citizens but also for our allies as well. He helped aide not only Israel in its time of need but also left a promising career to help keep Switzerland safe and independent during the recent aggressions. He is selfless and will help anyone he can in every way possible; if elected just PM him and if he cannot fix the problem he will find someone who can very shortly.

Remember, a vote for Londinense is a vote for a man who will help no matter what he has to personally sacrifice anything it takes to help make London not just the jewel of the eUK, but to make it shine so every other nation wishes for a capital like ours. Thank you all for your time and see you in the election booths.

Sincerely,
The Conservative Party

Next version of Erepublik

Next version of Erepublik
The next version of Erepublik will bring many new features requested by Citizens and some very interesting modifications within the gameplay. We will reveal some of them as we approach the launch date, but we will also keep some secrets to make it more interesting. We will constantly keep you updated with the work in progress for this new version. But main goals will be to maximize fun, simplicity / ease of use and performance (including less bugs) without sacrificing depth.
Taking into consideration that building the new version involves almost the entire team, we decided to focus more on the quality of the new version. Meanwhile, on the current version, we will continue to administrate and fix the bugs and work on performance tuning but won’t be making major improvements. We won’t reset the current Erepublik facts when launching V1 so the story continues.
Other issues:- The military rank is now working and Citizens that fought in battles will now be able to see their progress in the military section on their profile page.- We gave 3 more invites to Citizens who had no invitations left. Another set of invites will be given next week for all Citizens (as long as performance is ok)- This week 1000 more invites were sent to people from the waiting list;- There was a problem with the database that affected the private messages system, but now everything should be OK.
Thanks from the ErepublikLive team.

Did you know how important eRepublik is?

Did you hear that Finland was conquered by Norway in eRepublik and that Sweden is the most powerful state?
